EPM’s wind project

EPM is moving forward with permitting procedures for a wind project.

The EO200i wind complex will have a capacity of 200MW and will be located on Colombia’s Caribbean coast, Valora Analitik reported.

In a license modification request, EPM revealed that it plans to invest around CoP$1.0T (US$260M).

This facility will be located in the Uribia area of La Guajira department, and will be connected to the national grid through the Colectora transmission link being built by Grupo Energia Bogota (GEB).

Construction is expected to start in the first half of this year, according to EPM.

In addition, GEB submitted an Environmental Diagnosis of Alternatives (DAA) for its CoP$102B North Substation network reinforcement project in the department of Cundinamarca.

CSF Cartago Continua submitted an environmental impact study for a 230kV transmission link in the department of Valle del Cauca. The firm plans to invest CoP$9.9B in this project.

Acciona, GEB and Transmisora Colombiana de Energía also submitted documents for their respective transmission works Potreritos, Colectora and La Virginia-Nueva Esperanza.
