Afina works for a better service

Afina, a subsidiary of EPM, announced a campaign to improve the quality and reliability of the service in the Caribbean region.

The company announced ‘Vive la buena energia’ campaign with the aim of changing the quality of life in the Caribbean, El Tiempo reported.

“After receiving an obsolete, fragile and vulnerable infrastructure, Afina is working decisively on energy resurgence in 134 municipalities of Bolivar, Cesar, Cordoba, Sucre and South of Magdalena,” the firm highlighted.

Afina’s Blanca Ruiz said that the company is taking actions to optimize the electrical infrastructure, improving the service.

“We have invested more than CoP$118B, increasing resources for operation and maintenance by 27% since the beginning of our work. We have seen significant improvements in business metrics,” Ruiz said.

The expert called on citizens to take care of the infrastructure, not allow vandalism and legally enjoy the service, paying their bills in a timely manner.

Afina reported that time-to-service-interruptions improved 18% in 2020 compared to 2019.

Waiting and service times in offices improved 31% in 2020. Afina’s service line reported 96% satisfaction.
