Corona announced its joining the national program of ‘Carbon Neutrality’ of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.

This program was developed to comply with international commitments made by the government to address climate change, La Republica reported.

The goal is to encourage companies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 51%, reach zero net deforestation by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by mid-century.

Corona has a sustainability strategy that focuses on energy efficiency, efficient water resource management, the development of circular economy initiatives and environmental compliance.

“Our goal is to continue the path we have been on for many years in terms of decreasing the carbon footprint of our industrial, logistics and marketing operations, and to continue developing energy efficiency projects and initiatives,” Jaime Ángel, President of Corona Industrial, said.
