EPM spoke about the results of the EPM-UNDP alliance.
The company has created a virtual diploma in Communication for Development, within the framework of the Sustainable Development goals (SDG) and the 2030 agenda, as one of the results of this alliance, according to a press release.
“This activity, as part of the Alliance’s communications plan, allows the design, production and dissemination of communication tools to accompany media and social organizations,” EPM said.
EPM said that this process strengthens the Territorial Communication Board and the School of Leaders in the region.
“This program will help transfer leadership, empowerment and dynamization as a strategy towards sustainability and promotion of local social capital in knowledge and communication skills,” the company said.
Javier Ramallo, Academic Coordinator of the diploma, said that these programs support and facilitate the application of public policies promoting the participation and inclusion of rural communities.
“Communication for Development allows identifying needs and priorities, improving consultation and coordination, sharing information and knowledge through dialogue,” Ramallo highlighted.
EPM said that another program of the alliance was the ‘Communication for Historical Memory, Peace Transformation and Sustainable Development’ implemented in different communication channels in Antioquia.
“EPM, through these types of actions, seeks to contribute to the construction of social capital that allows joint development, in line with its purpose of contributing to the harmony of life for a better world,” the company concluded.
