Low river levels create energy crisis on the eastern border

Colombia's national government, through the Ministry of Mines and Energy and Ministry of Defense, deployed a comprehensive emergency plan guaranteeing fuel supply and electrical service continuity in Mitú, Vaupés, and Puerto Inírida, Guainía, following historic low river levels in the Guaviare and Unilla rivers that disrupted regular transport to Non-Interconnected Zones.
