The Government published the pre-bidding documents for the public tender of the Pasacaballos 220 kilovolt (kV) substation and associated transmission lines.
This project consists of the design, procurement of supplies, construction, operation, and maintenance of the Pasacaballos 220 kV substation, Valora Analitik reported.
This work is contemplated within the “Plan de Expansión de Referencia Generación – Transmisión 2019-2033”, the report said.
The project comprises the 220kV Pasacaballos substation in switch and a half configuration, with two-line bays and two transformer bays with their respective central cuts to form two complete diameters at 220kV.
This work contemplates the construction of a double circuit line or two independent 220kV lines with an approximate length of 17km from the new Pasacaballos 220 kV substation to interconnect with the Bolivar – Toluviejo 220kV line.
The guidelines establish the inclusion of all the elements and adjustments, both electrical and physical, necessary to comply with the purpose of the call during the construction, operation, and maintenance of the works, guaranteeing their compatibility with existing infrastructure.
These actions include control systems, protections, metering, communications, and associated infrastructure, among others.
The government estimates that this project will be operational “no later than June 30th, 2024″.
