Never one to let facts get in the way of a good smokescreen and always looking for an opportunity to denigrate the power generation industry, President Gustavo Petro blames the hydroelectric plants for spilling an excess of water on the unfortunate residents of Colombia’s northwest. He says they did it to raise tariffs by having more power generated by thermal.
