“The exaggerated increase of energy prices in the country between 25% and 49% could lead to questioning of the entire electricity system by the population. Therefore, we urgently propose a reform to the electric energy tariff model to help users mitigate the excessively high prices of the bills": this was stated by Engineer Daniel Medina Velandia, President of the Colombian Association of Engineers, ACIEM, in a communication sent to the Minister of Mines and Energy, Irene Vélez Torres.
