ISA S.A. E.S.P (BVC: ISA) reported its second quarter 2021 results.
The firm’s operating income was CoP$2.8T in 2Q21, 6% more compared to same period last year (CoP$2.5T). This metric was CoP$2.3T in 1Q21.
The adjustment of several costing parameters by the regulator “had a favorable impact of CoP$303.8B in operating income,” the company explained.
Income in the energy business was CoP$1.9T in 2Q21, representing 67% of the total.
The Highway business represented 19% or CoP$528B, while Telecommunications reported revenues of CoP$98B or 4% of the total in 2Q21.
ISA said that administration, operation, and maintenance costs (AOM) was CoP$931.9B in 2Q21, 12.5% more than in the same period of the previous year.
“This variation is mainly due to the increase in construction activity of CoP$103.4B in energy transmission projects and on roads in Colombia and Chile,” ISA explained.
EBITDA was CoP$1.9T in 2Q21; 3.2% more compared to same period last year. EBITDA margin was 67.2% in 2Q21.
ISA reported a net income of CoP$585.8B, 6.4% more than 2Q20.
“After almost a year and a half of the pandemic, we remain committed to the economic reactivation of the countries where we are present, because we are aware that a frontal attack on the consequences of this scourge is a priority for the future of all of us,” ISA said.
