Enel X, a business unit of Enel-Codensa, inaugurated a second charging station at Unicentro in Bogotá.
This facility is the largest and fastest charging station in a Colombian shopping mall, La Republica reported.
It has eight charging points and eight parking cells; four 7-kilowatt JuiceBox chargers and three fast chargers of 43kW, 50kW and 150kW each.
“This charging station stands out for its quality, state-of-the-art technology and efficiency. On the one hand, it has digital and intelligent chargers from Enel X’s JuiceBox line; and on the other, it has a 150kW charging point. In this case, it allows citizens to recharge their vehicle in just 45 minutes,” Enel X’s Carlos Mario Restrepo said.
The charging station has Type 1, Type 2, Chademo, AC and GBT connectors, which allows recharging any of the electric vehicles available in Colombia, with the exception of the Renault Twizy.
Now citizens can access a total of 11 recharging points in Unicentro, four of them being fast.
Bottom-Line: Good news for hybrid and electric vehicle users. Colombia needs more charging stations to boost sales of these vehicles.
