The Energy and Gas Regulatory Commission (CREG) announced a new reconfiguration auction for the sale of firm energy obligations for the period 2022-2023.
The entity summoned all agents with plants or generation units that have firm energy obligation allocations (OEF) for the period 2022-2023, to participate in the auction for this valid period under the defined deadlines, Valora Analitik reported.
Companies will be able to show their interest in participating in this process until November 12th this year; the presentation of participants will be on November 18th. The results will be published on December 16th this year.
The auction period will be from December 1st, 2022 to November 30th, 2023.
The CREG added that in the case that the evaluation of the updated balance of the allocated OEF and demand projections for the period 2022-2023, prior to the auction, shows that due to the growth in demand there is no longer excess OEF for that period, the interested parties will be informed of the cancellation of the auction.
