Enel Green Power Colombia announced a new project in Cesar.
The project “Parque Solar Valledupar” will be located in Valledupar, and already has the green light for implementation by the National Environmental Licensing Agency (ANLA), La Republica reported.
The solar park will have a capacity of 119MW, and will be developed in four phases: pre-operational, constructive, operational, and post-operational.
To achieve the project’s goal, 312,930 photovoltaic modules will be installed and distributed over an area of 325 hectares.
“The commitment to the energy transition in the country is going at a promising pace. We hope that, in the medium term, we will have other unconventional sources of renewable energy such as blue and green hydrogen,” ANLA’s Deputy Director of Environmental Licensing Evaluation, Josefina Sánchez Cuervo, said.
She said that the entity is working to evaluate these projects that will allow a reduction in the emission of greenhouse gases and counteract the climate crisis.
The company conducted a physical, biological, and social study for the environmental license.
