As the first Conference for the Transition Beyond Fossil Fuels concluded its high-level segment in Santa Marta, Oxfam used the occasion to press a point that the event's corporate-heavy framing tends to obscure: that phasing out fossil fuels without recognizing community-scale energy alternatives risks replicating the same extractive power structures under a green label.
