Santa Marta hosted the First International Conference for the Transition Beyond Fossil Fuels from April 24–29, 2026, co-organized by Colombia and the Netherlands as a high-level platform for governments, academics, civil society, and industry representatives to map concrete pathways away from oil, gas, and coal.
