There is an uproar over electricity prices, especially in the coastal region, and we predict this will lead to a confrontation between the CREG, MinEnergia and President Gustavo Petro. It will likely be another blow against the technocratic nature of energy regulation which Colombia has enjoyed for decades. We can see a solution but it may need the drama of a trainwreck to be accepted.
